At this expansive neighborhood’s hub is the quaint Montclair Village, which functions almost as a small town within the bigger city. Nestled along Highway 13 close to the 24 interchange and the Caldecott tunnel, Montclair is also served by AC Transit Transbay buses to SF. The village includes a large park and elementary school, great shopping, restaurants and a bustling Sunday Farmers Market. Walking trails lead from the village into the hilly neighborhood above.
At the top of the mountain, the neighborhood is bordered by several giant East Bay Regional Parks, including Sibley, Redwood and Huckleberry, that provide access to hundreds of miles of walking and mountain biking trails.
